Senior Software Developer CAD / Geometry Algorithms (m/w/d)

THESE ARE YOUR TASKS

  • You develop and enhance the geometric core functionality of our CAD and 3D planning software. 
  • You implement and optimize algorithms for wall, room, surface, and object geometries. 
  • You work on geometric topics such as intersection calculations, surface partitioning, polygon and mesh processing, tiling logic, and Boolean operations.
  • You analyze, stabilize, and continuously improve existing geometry and CAD functionality.
  • You integrate geometric functionality into an interactive 3D application.
  • You optimize performance for the interactive editing of large or complex planning projects.
  • You work confidently with mature codebases and technical legacy systems and contribute to their ongoing improvement. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You have several years of professional experience in software development, ideally using C#, C++ or a comparable programming language.
  • You bring experience with CAD systems, 3D geometry, computational geometry, or technically demanding graphics or planning systems.
  • You have strong knowledge of linear algebra, vector and matrix mathematics, and geometric algorithms.
  • You understand numerical stability, floating‑point issues, tolerances, and edge cases in geometric calculations.
  • You have experience with polygon operations, mesh processing, triangulation, or Boolean geometry operations.
  • You are able to understand, extend, and incrementally improve complex, existing software systems.
  • You are willing to familiarize yourself with related technologies such as UI Toolkit, rendering pipelines, or engine integration when required.
  • Ideally, you also have experience with performance optimization, profiling, memory‑efficient development, multithreading, or asynchronous processing.
  • You work in a pragmatic, structured, and solution‑oriented manner and enjoy taking responsibility for core product functionality.
